While there's still plenty of time for sunshine and family fun, now is the perfect time to start easing back into school routines.

Here are a few simple ways to help your student transition back into "school mode":
📅 Start adjusting bedtime and wake-up times by 15–20 minutes each day.
📚 Read together for 20 minutes a day to get those learning muscles moving again.
🍎 Practice packing lunches or choosing healthy snacks.
🎒 Check backpacks and school supplies so you're ready when the first day arrives.

😊 Talk about the upcoming school year and help build excitement for new teachers, classmates, and opportunities.

Pema recently joined leaders nationwide in Chicago to kick off a year of collaboration dedicated to creating tools for belonging. Participants examined drivers and dividers of belonging in Chicago neighborhoods as well as in their own ecosystems.
